The above is optimized for Google. On a personal level, most who know me, know my journey was not easy. To be completely frank, it still isn't. There are always new levels to climb and experiences to unlock. Sometimes the suffering is what makes the accomplishment that much sweeter. On a difficult day, I suffer from burnout, imposter syndrome, sadness, anxiety, and feeling overwhelmed just like the teams I work with. On a difficult month, I can go through the symptoms of limerence, heartbreak, and not feeling good enough just like my clients. Maybe that's why I know I'm good at what I do. I know what I need to make my day or month better. I know what I need to do to get out of a funk. Do you? But what if every cell in our being doesn't want to?
The two overarching things I need in my work and personal life is FUN and PEACE. How about you? Don't you want to be engaged in your work and feel peace as you're completing tasks?
MY two strengths combines Learning Design and Mindfulness. Every curriculum or program I design needs to incorporate fun and also give the learner peace in knowing that any gap in knowledge will be addressed. Full transparency, it's a process, and a bit of a roller coaster at times, but when things get tough, I like to bring in mindfulness and wellness practices to help clear the mind and invite back that spark of creativity and curiosity.
Adult learning might not be as experiential as young learning, but it can still be approached with a novel mindset. I am highly trained and experienced in various mindfulness modalities, but I specifically focus on the thoughts running through our head 24/7. The thoughts that keep us from doing what we know we "should" be doing to be the best version of ourselves.
